September 3rd 2007 - Charity Golf Outing to benefit Juvenile Diabetes: All money raised will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and will be presented at the Walk to Cure Diabetes on Saturday, September 29, 2007 in Traverse City, Michigan. Location is Stoney Links Golf Course, Onaway, Michigan. Registration begins at 9:00 am with shot gun start 10:00 am. There is a $50.00 registration fee - 18 holes with cart. Lunch will be provided and there will be prizes for top all male, all female and mixed team. There is also a $15.00 cover charge for non-golfers. September 4-18th 2007 - Eating Well with Diabetes at St. Paul United Church of Christ Hall 127 St. Paul Street Columbia, IL 62236 (Monroe County) from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Eating Well with Diabetes is a three-part series designed to help you live with your diabetes. The workshop fee is just $25 @ person/family couple and that includes three sessions, recipes and fact sheets. Space is limited so register early!

September 6-9th 2007 - Ride to Cure Diabetes is an organized ride through the beautiful countryside of Appalachia in Asheville, North Carolina. 200 cyclists of all levels will be able to participate and feel how satisfying it is to fight for a cure. In addition to the ride on September 6, riders will also have time to explore nearby attractions.

September 8th 2007 - JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at the Murfreesboro Civic Plaza in Murfreesboro, TN at 8:00 am.

September 9th 2007 - Diabetes Day - Fiesta de la Salud.The San Joaquin County Diabetes Society and the American Diabetes Association have partnered together to bring fun to diabetes education and awareness. Please join us for live music provided by Latin Magic, health screenings, educational speakers (English and Spanish), and snacks. This event is free and registration not required. For more information log on to www.diabetes.org/Sacramento. Event location is Stockton Civic Auditorium 525 North Center St. Stockton, CA 95202 from 12:00 am - 5:00 pm.

September 14-16th 2007 - Phil Peterson’s Key West Poker Run: During the 35th annual Phil Peterson’s Key West Poker Run, sponsored by Peterson’s Harley-Davidson of Miami and Harley-Davidson South, motorcycle enthusiasts will enjoy a scenic trek from Miami to Key West along US 1. Key West’s famous Duval Street will be closed to outside traffic for weekend revelers, who will enjoy the carnival-like atmosphere, including live music, food, drinks and more. For a $10 donation, riders can stop at five designated locations along the way to draw what they hope will be a winning poker hand. The lucky grand prize winner will receive a brand new Harley-Davidson 1200 Sportster Custom. September 15th 2007 - 10th Annual Rip’s Bikers Against Diabetes (BAD) Ride: Rip's B.A.D Ride-Bikers Against Diabetes-is a motorcycle fund-raising ride and family festival of the American Diabetes Association. This event unites the biker nation in the fight against diabetes with a full day of great riding, big entertainment, delicious food, lots of activities and a good vibe! This event will be held in Virginia.

September 15th 2007 - JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at America the Beautiful Park in in Colorado Springs, CO at 9:00 AM.

September 15th 2007 - 7th Annual Diabetes Fair. Location and time: Haverling High School, 25 Elias Avenue, Bath, NY, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public. We offer blood pressure checks, blood glucose testing, many diabetes companies and organizations, demonstrations, diabetes education materials, and free samples and prizes.

September 15th 2007 - The next Dallas & Reid's Ride will be held at the Eagles Aeries in Plainfield - Hendricks County, Indiana. This will be a police-escorted ride, followed by an afternoon of big prizes, music, food, silent auction, door prize drawings, field events and a ride-in bike show.

September 15th 2007 - JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR at 8:00 am.

September 15th 2007 - TCOYD - Taking Control Of Your Diabetes Conference at the Silicon Valley - Santa Clara Convention Center. Taking Control Of Your Diabetes, 501(c)3, (TCOYD), a nationally recognized not-for-profit diabetes educational organization, invites people with diabetes, as well as those at risk for diabetes and their loved ones, to a full day of seminars, workshops and one-on-one opportunities with leading experts in diabetes care to conferences across the country in 2007. September 16th 2007 - 10th Annual Rip’s Bikers Against Diabetes (BAD) Ride: Rip's B.A.D Ride-Bikers Against Diabetes-is a motorcycle fund-raising ride and family festival of the American Diabetes Association. This event unites the biker nation in the fight against diabetes with a full day of great riding, big entertainment, delicious food, lots of activities and a good vibe! This event will be held in Denver, CO.

September 17th 2007- Diabetes Foundation, Inc. is holding its annual golf outing at the Ridgewood Country Club, which is rated among the top 100 courses in the USA. Each year, over 200 golfers participate in this day, which concludes with a festive dinner. The Country Club is located at 96 W Midland Ave, Paramus NJ.

September 17-19th 2007 - Newport Under the Stars Newport, Rhode Island. Join celebrities and special guests for a weekend of fun, all to benefit Joslin's High Hopes Fund. September 19th 2007 - Ask Dr. Bernstein live webcast: This a free live webcast for anyone who would like to ask Dr, Bernstein a question. September 30th 2007 - JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes: The annual Fairfield County Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) “Walk to Cure Diabetes” expects over a thousand families to walk 3 miles to raise money for diabetes research. Location is Cove Island Park, Stamford, Connecticut from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Fun-filled family event; including refreshments, painting, balloon artist & moon-bounce, prizes and giveaways.
