May 10th 2007 - The Young Leadership Committee (YLC) of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is proud to announce that we will be hosting Spring for a Cure, our annual fundraising event. Spring for a Cure, our largest fundraising endeavor of the year, is a culinary, wine and spirits tasting event featuring signature products from fifteen to twenty top New York venues and vendors. Past participants include Blue Water Grill, Ruby Foo’s, Tavern on the Green, Dewars and Grey Goose. Festivities also include dancing, an elaborate auction and a sweepstakes. May 19th 2007 - Diabetes Association Inc. is having our annual Keep Moving for Camp Kyle walk a thon held at Buttonwood Park in New Bedford, MA. registration begins at 8am. Camp Kyle is the only summer day camp for children with diabetes in all of New England. So please help us raise money to bring the magic of a typical summer day camp to a child with diabetes. May 19th 2007 - TCOYD - Taking Control Of Your Diabetes Conference at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, MN. Taking Control Of Your Diabetes, 501(c)3, (TCOYD), a nationally recognized not-for-profit diabetes educational organization, invites people with diabetes, as well as those at risk for diabetes and their loved ones, to a full day of seminars, workshops and one-on-one opportunities with leading experts in diabetes care to conferences across the country in 2007. TCOYD's Mission is to educate and motivate people with diabetes and their loved ones, to take a more active role in their condition, in order to live healthier, happier, and more productive lives.
