May 1st 2008 - Come to the Diabetes Support Group at the Whitehall Boca Skill Facility in Boca Raton, Florida. Group meeting starts at 7:30 PM. Topic of discussion will be "New Freedom Light Meters" with guest speaker Ms. Christie Vaugn of Abbott Labs. Venue is located at 7300 Del Prado Circle South, Boca Raton. May 3rd 2008 - Los Angeles Diabetes EXPO held at the Long Beach Convention Center from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Diabetes EXPO is everything you want to know about diabetes, its management and prevention, under one roof.
May 7th 2008 – Diabetes support group meeting at the Orange Medical Center located at 661 University Lane Orange, VA 22960. Meetings are normally held the first Wednesday of every month from 9-10 AM. Come gain support and educational information for living a healthy lifestyle with diabetes. There will be a registered dietitian, registered nurse or diabetes educators in attendance. May 9th 2008 – Evening At Pops. This annual event presented by the Joslin Diabetes Center to support the High Hopes Fund will take place at the Symphony Hall in Boston MA. May12th 2008 - The Diabetes Research Institute’s California Golf Classic will take place at the El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, California. We anticipate 120 players complete with contests, breakfast, lunch, famous bar-que dinner, and a silent and live auction with fabulous, one-of-a-kind items. May 16th 2008 – Concert For A Cure. The Meriden Family Resource Center presents the 3rd annual fundraiser to aid the JDRF New Haven Chapter. Concert For A Cure will be held at the John Barry Elementary School Gym 124 Columbia St., Meriden CT at 6:30 PM. Admission is $5.00 per person (under 1 yr. old free). May 19th 2008 – Swing to Cure Diabetes 2008 Golf Outing. Come enjoy 18 holes of golf at the University of Michigan Golf Course in Ann Arbor, MI to benefit the Michigan Comprehensive Diabetes Center and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
