March 1st 2008 - Denver Diabetes EXPO. Will take place at the Colorado Convention Center, Exhibit Hall F from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. There will be free screenings, exercise demos, guest celebrities and much more.
March 1st 2008 - Central Iowa JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at the Convention Complex, Des Moines at 8:00 am.
March 1st 2007 - Abby’s All Stars is a non-profit organization covering Fairfield county in CT. Our goal is to raise money to help families offset the out of pocket expenses due to Juvenile Diabetes. We are now planning our first fundraiser of the year which is a Cocktail Reception and Silent Auction. Event takes place at Tashua Knolls - 40 Tashua Knows Lane Trumbull CT 06611. Tickets are 40/person and $75 a couple.
March 1st 2008 - Jungle Safari: To be held in Wellington at the prestigious Polo Club Palm Beach, FL. This luxurious adventure will feature cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres, dinner, live music, and dancing. Topped off with a safari-themed ambience and surprises from “the jungle”, this decidedly-different gala will intertwine elegance and exuberance to create one of the most memorable events of the area’s famed equestrian season. Tickets cost $225 each.
March 5th 2008 - Novo Nordisk Presents: Divabetic-Makeover Your Diabetes: Uncover your inner diva! Join Novo Nordisk, Divabetic and hundreds of women living with diabetes for an elegant and glamorous evening of diabetes education with complimentary salon and spa services. We encourage women living with, at risk of or affected by diabetes to enjoy this community event designed to address a need to make diabetes information more fun and appealing. March 7 - 16th 2008 - Diabetes CME Cruise with Dr. Richard K. Bernstein - Eastern Caribbean: For the first time presented on a continuing medical education cruise, Dr. Richard K. Bernstein, best selling author of The Diabetes Solution and Diabetes Diet will be teaching his methods to keep blood sugars in the normal range. March 8th 2008 - Noah's Ark is joining with the American Diabetes Assoc to do a fund raiser event in St. Johns, MI. Children will come and stuff an animal and $5 of the cost will be donated to the Diabetes Assoc to send a diabetic child to camp this summer. The event runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the RESA bldg on old business US 27.

March 15th 2008 - The Barton Center for Diabetes Education in North Oxford, MA will be holding its 8th Annual St. Patrick's Road Race/Walk to benefit the Campership Fund. Registration begins at 12:00 with the race beginning at 1:00pm. You can pre-register by going to www.bartoncenter.org or contacting Hilary King at hilary.king@bartoncenter.org or by calling 508-987-2056 ext. 103. Pre-registration is $20 and Day-of-Registation is $25. All pre-registered runners/walkers will receive a t-shirt. There will be a corned beef and cabbage buffet and awards after the race. Pledge sheets are also available on the website. For every $75 raised in pledges (1) registration fee will be waived. All money raised will go towards a child's camp fees!
March 15th 2008 - 11th Annual Wings of Love Gala. Join the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF) Palmetto Chapter at their 11th Annual Wings of Love Gala that will be held, at Columbia Convention Center, Columbia, SC.
March 15th 2008 - San Antonio Diabetes EXPO. Will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center Exhibit Hall A located at 200 E. Market St. San Antonio, TX. It will take place from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.
March 15th 2008 - Boston Diabetes EXPO at Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, Massachusetts from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Diabetes EXPO is for people with diabetes, those at risk for diabetes, and anyone interested in healthy living.
March 25th 2008 - Celebrate the 20th Annual American Diabetes Alert Day by becoming inform about the seriousness of diabetes. The American Diabetes Association encourages people to take the Diabetes Risk Test and find out if they are at risk for developing diabetes.
March 29th 2008 - SOUTH FLORIDA FIREFIGHTERS SUPPORT THE DIABETES RESEARCH INSTITUTE: South Florida firemen will take a break from fighting fires to help the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) extinguish diabetes. Consisting of firefighters from several local municipalities, the self-named hockey team, East Coast Bomberos, will take on Florida’s West Coast Firefighters in an afternoon amateur hockey game. This is an event the whole family will enjoy. Event takes place at Bank Atlantic Center One Panther Parkway, Sunrise GameWorks 2608 Sawgrass Mills, Sunrise. From 2 pm - East Coast Bomberos vs. West Coast Firefighters and 7 pm - Florida Panthers vs. Washington Capitals. Free Admission and Parking. Donations will be accepted on or before game day and can be mailed to Dade County Firefighters Charities at 11866 SW 47 St. Cooper City, FL 33330. March 29th 2008 - The 27th Annual Spring Gala honoring Chris and Terri Walker at The Westin Stamford, Stamford CT at 6:00 pm Cocktails and Silent Auction at 8:00 pm. The event features dinner, live auction and entertainment.
March 29th 2008 - Pee Dee Walk to Cure Diabetes at Francis Marion University, Florence, SC. Join the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International Palmetto Chapter at their 6th Annual Pee Dee Walk to Cure Diabetes.
March 30th 2008 - The Knowlton MOMS Club is holding a Chili Cook-off to help raise money for Camp Nejeda the only residential summer camp in New Jersey and its neighboring states serving exclusively youth with insulin dependent diabetes and their families. Chili Cook-off entrance fee required : Plus 50/50 raffle. Event takes place Knowlton Fire House, Knowlton, NJ from 1:00 -4:00 pm.
