July 11, 2009 - Paddle for the Cure: Please join us in the first ever Paddle for the Cure event on the Wye River in Queenstown, Maryland. All clubs, organizations and individuals are encouraged to participate in this very special event. You can bring your own equipment or rent a canoe or kayak on site. Each participant is required to raise a minimum of $200.00. Participants are eligible for incentive prizes when they go beyond the $200 goal.All funds raised from this event will fund diabetes researchers working on the cure.

July 25 2009 - Diabetes Society wants you to help support camps for diabetic children and their families: Join us at our rooftop gala…Dine and dance under the stars at our outdoor ballroom atop Cupertino Square Shopping Center! The Gala is a fundraiser that helps support the programs and services of the Diabetes Society. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Cupertino Square Shopping Center will be sponsoring the event on N. Wolfe Road and providing the space on their rooftop. It will be transformed for this unique event into an elegant ballroom! Sponsor Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme will be hosting a fabulous international dinner with delicious Asian, Indian, Latin, American, and Mediterranean stations! Plenty of free parking will be available.
