July 10th 2006 - Bee A DIVA Diabetes Coaching Sessions: Our coaching sessions are designed to comfort, connect and challenge women living with, at risk of or affected by diabetes to improve their methods of care. Event Features Dana Hariton, Certified Life Coach. Event takes place at the McBurney YMCA, 125 West 14th Street (between 6th & 7th Avenues) from 7:00 -9:00 with free admission.

July 23rd 2006 - Training Day for people affected by diabetes: A fast, fun, and interactive day of diabetes education featuring hands-on demonstrations, panel discussions, one-on-one consultations, raffle prizes and more! Learn at your own pace as you cover all the bases in diabetes care and management for someone you love. Location is Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, NY and is free admission.
July 24-28th 2006 - Dining with Diabetes from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm at the Jersey Community Hospital Classroom 400 Maple Summit Avenue Jerseyville, IL 62052. If you have diabetes, choosing and preparing food can be a real challenge. Learn how to cook foods that are low in sugar, fat and sodium at the Dining with Diabetes cooking classes. Those attending will learn how to cook with artificial sweeteners, low-fat products, herbs and spices. There will be cooking demonstrations and tasting of several recipes. July 30th - August 5th 2006 - Summer Camp Week II at Camp Barney Medintz in Cleveland, Georgia where friendships begin and the fun never ends. A traditional, overnight summer camp for 250 campers ages 8-16, with a Counselor in Training (CIT) program for ages 17-18. 200 volunteer staff members are needed! (ages 19+).
