January 7th 2008 - The Hidalgo County Support Group meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the McAllen Memorial Library 601 N. Main McAllen, TX 78501.
January 11 - 13th 2008- DYF Teens Take Tahoe (Ages 14-17). Come one, come all to the mountains in Tahoe. Every year we take a group of Teens to Tahoe Donner Ski Hill for two days of skiing, snowboarding, bonding, fun and adventures, under the close guidance and supervision of Bearskin Meadow Camp staff. We leave Friday at 2:00 PM from Concord, CA and return Sunday evening at 6:00 PM. Beginners to advanced welcome. Transportation is provided. A popular program, this weekend fills fast! Cost $185.00. Cost includes everything but rentals. Rentals must be obtained prior to departing for the trip. January 12th 2008 - 29th-Annual Diabetes Foundation Super Conference "NEW INSIGHTS INTO DIABETES CARE" at the Hilton Jackson Conference Center in Jackson, MS. To register for the 29th-annual Super Conference call 1-877-DFM-CURE.
January 14th 2008 - Pleasures of the Palate: For the wine aficionados and gourmands, Pleasures of the Palate will begin with cocktails, champagne and passed hors d'oeuvres, followed by a distinctive four-course dinner paired with the appropriate wine to enhance flavors. To be held at Emeril’s Miami Beach, FL. The event also features exclusive silent and live auctions. The cost is $250 per person and seating is limited.
January 15th 2008 - The Twin County Regional Hospital Diabetes Support Group in Galex VA will meet at 7:00 pm in the Twin County Room located on the ground floor. The Support Group is free and open to the public. Please call the Diabetes Education Program at 276-238-3565 for more information.
January 16th 2007 - Divabetic Monthly Coaching Session: You Are NOT Your Numbers. There will also be free bra fittings at this event. Coaching Sessions provide upbeat motivational support for women affected by diabetes and their guests. We promote community-inspired confidence and help to connect 'our divas' with local services, resources and peers. Enjoy free beauty/fashion and care giveaways including copies of Diabetes Positive magazines and free ACCU-CHEK products. Location is The Gerald J. Friedman Diabetes Institute: 317 East 17th Street, 8th floor, (between 1st & 2nd Avenues) New York, NY from 5:00-6:30 pm.

January 19th 2008 - JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at the Mall of America bloomington, MN at 7:00 am.
January 27th 2007 - CityFeast: Dining Out to Conquer Diabetes in Boston, MA. For $150 per person (of which $100 is tax deductible) includes all food, wine pairings and discounted parking at the Cooper Street Parking Lot or the Parcel 7 garage above the Haymarket T station. January 28th 2008 - DRI Golf & Tennis Classic: Fourth Annual Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) Golf and Tennis Classic at La Gorce Country Club, 5685 Alton Rd, Miami Beach, FL. Event schedule includes 10 am. golf registration, 10:30 am. brunch, 11:30 tee off, 1:30 pm. tennis registration, 5:00 cocktail reception and awards dinner.
