February 1 - February 3rd 2008 - DYF Tweens Take Tahoe (Ages 11-13) . Come one, come all to the mountains in Tahoe. Every year we take a group of Tweens to Tahoe Donner Ski Hill for two days of skiing, snowboarding, bonding, fun and adventures, under the close guidance and supervision of Bearskin Meadow Camp staff. We leave Friday at 2:00 PM from Concord, CA and return Sunday evening at 6:00 PM. Beginners to advanced welcome. Transportation is provided. A popular program, this weekend fills fast! Cost $185.00. Cost includes everything but rentals. Rentals must be obtained prior to departing for the trip. February 2nd 2008 - Iowa Diabetes Day "New Insights into Diabetes Care" will take place at the Hy-Vee Hall 730 3rd Street, downtown Des Moines. Registration begins at 7:30 am the day of event and cost for registration is $20.00 on the day of the event. However, if you register prior to the event it is free. February 2nd 2008 - San Francisco Diabetes EXPO will take place at the Santa Clara Convention Center from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The Santa Clara Convention Center is located at 5001 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara, CA.
February 2nd 2008 - Salt Lake City Diabetes EXPO. Held at South Towne Expo Center from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Diabetes EXPO is for people with diabetes, those at risk for diabetes, and anyone interested in healthy living. One can expect healthy cooking & exercise demonstrations, free health screenings, interactive youth zone for kids of all ages and much more. February 7th 2008 - DRI Annual fashion event Spring into Fashion from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage State Park 99 Quaker Meeting House Road in Farmingdale, New York. Luncheon proceeds will benefit the cure-focused work of the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI). February 11th 2008 - A Gift of Love…A Gift of Hope (Palm Beach Auxiliary Luncheon): This afternoon luncheon will be held again at The Polo Club in Boca Raton, FL and will be followed by boutique shopping and a card party. Tickets cost $55 per person. All proceeds benefit the Diabetes Research foundation.
