August 4-5th 2008 - Quilt for Life. The Children with Diabetes Quilt for Life will be displayed on the National Mall in front of the US Capitol Building from dawn Monday, August 4, 2008 through dusk on Tuesday, August 5, 2008. Everyone is invited.

August 6-9th 2008 - American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) Annual Meeting & Exhibition, Washington D.C. Where else can you find so many educational opportunities focused specifically on diabetes self-management education? Earn more than 18 hours of continuing education credit good for certification, licensure, and program recognition. Please visit our website to register.

August 23rd 2008 - Pittsburgh Diabetes EXPO Pittsburgh, PA. American Diabetes Association Diabetes Expo/WTAE-TV Healthy 4 Life Expo. Held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Two Expos Under One Roof address the healthy lifestyle choices that impact the diagnosis as well as the management of diabetes. It also provides the forum for people with diabetes to interact with exhibitors, ask questions of the medical professionals and attend the specific workshops that are geared towards diabetes management.

August 28th 2008 - Support Group for Dealing with Diabetes invites the public to their monthly meeting in Oneonta, NY. Guest speakers will be at every meeting. Discussions start at 7 PM and wraps up around 8:30 PM. Group meets at the Elm Park Methodist Church located at 401 Chestnut Street Oneonta, NY 13820.
