Fiber-Rich Foods
Remember, the grams of fiber (if greater than 5 grams) can be subtracted from the total carbohydrates in a food. For example, one-half cup of kidney beans has 20 grams of total carbs and 6 grams of fiber, which would net 14 grams of carbs your body will digest and absorb. Jot down these fiber-rich foods and take the list with you on your next shopping trip.
