Fiction. The vaccine is for anyone who wants to reduce his or her chance of getting the flu. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends the flu vaccine particularly for children aged 6-23 months, pregnant women in the second or third trimester, people with chronic medical conditions - such as diabetes - and the elderly.
