Daily Tips
Studies have shown that older women with type 2 diabetes may be able to lower their risk of heart disease by taking soy supplements. It has been determined that a daily supplement of soy protein prevents the increase in subcutaneous and total abdominal fat.1 This can mean lower cholesterol in post-menopausal women with type 2 diabetes. Studies also found the supplements can reduce insulin resistance. If soy sounds sweet, ask your doctor or dietitian if these supplements would be right for you.
