Daily Tips

If you are using a pump, moisture from sweating in hot weather or from strenuous exercise may be an issue. The adhesive that secures the set to the body may not be effective. If that is the case, try using an unscented antiperspirant around the site of insertion - not directly on the place where the needle will be placed, to keep the antiperspirant from getting into your skin. Also use it under the area that will be covered by tape or dressing. Make sure the area is dry before continuing to affix the pump.

There are also products you can try to ensure that your pump stays in place so check with your diabetes supply store.
