Tackle Diabetes and Win!, released in 2005 with Denny Dressman, completely dismisses the notion that one cannot overcome obstacles with diabetes. Malcom and Kamaal Washington Knowing that there was nothing available to portray diabetes in a manner that kids would find interesting, two brothers from Kansas City, MO created a comic book called Omega Boy vs. Doctor Diabetes to help kids understand what diabetes is and what the symptoms are. The success of the book spawned a second book in 2005 entitled Enter the Blaze, The Return of Dr. Diabetes. |
