I have had Diabetes 2 since about 3 years. It says under very good control as far as the A1c is concerned my last three at my check ups were 5.7 and 5.6. I forget to check my blood sugar due to the A1c being so good. There is no diabetes in my family and I think all the years of loving carbs just caught up with me. I try to loose weight but as we get older it gets so hard. I am over 50 and need to loose about 50 lbs. I will exercise for a while and get really motivated and then drop off. I work at a hospital that is going through some changes and the stress is high I am always called and it gets sooo hectic that by the time I get home I don't want to exercise I just want to get somewhere quite for awhile and then by the time I think of it again its bedtime. I know I have to do something now or I am just fooling myself and that one day my blood sugar will just stay high. Any ideas or am I the only one that feels this way.

I have this friend who has type 1 diabetes and I was wondering does stress really effect the way he would act around some people? Also does stress really affect people who have type 1 diabetes? Any ideas or suggestions please answer me.
