Good news for gadget lovers. Lilly has debuted their new HumaPen MEMOIR, the first digital insulin pen. The MEMOIR, which dispenses Humalog insulin, allows patients to record and review their last 16 insulin doses by time and amount at a push of a button With its Waterman stylings and sleek chrome detail, It's not too shabby looking, either.

The Boston Herald reports that the reusuable unit will retail for around $100, with discount coupons at launch giving early adapters a $45 deal (insulin cartridges extra).

Google Diabetes Doodle?

Stop by the American Diabetes Association and sign their petition to get Google to issue an official Google Doodle for Diabetes Alert Day. The annual event, which falls on March 27 this year, is a national call to action for people to find out if they are at risk for diabetes. A tip of the virtual hat from the world's most popular search engine would be quite a coup for raising type 2 diabetes awareness this year.

Chuckles Says Spring

While the rest of the nation watched Punxsutawney Phil this morning, all eyes in Connecticut (home base of dLife) were on Chuckles. the official groundhog of the state. Both rodents predicted an early spring, despite the fact that the first good snowfall of the season was coming down on eastern CT this Groundhog's Day. For now, stay warm and winterized.
