Say Steel Magnolias to someone with diabetes and visions of Julia Roberts (a.k.a. Shelby) spitting orange juice immediately come to mind. Diabetes has been portrayed in a wide variety of ways in the movies and on television - some painfully bad and some remarkably accurate. This Sunday on dLifeTV, Aida Turturro of The Sopranos and Dorian Gregory (Soul Train, Charmed) join us for a look at diabetes in the entertainment world - the good, the bad, and the ugly. dLifeTV airs at 7:00 PM ET on CNBC (complete air schedule here).

In the meantime, check out Amy Tenderich's newest dLife article - "Reality, TV, and Diabetes," and explore our list of movies that address diabetes.
