I don't see inhaled insulin as progress except for anyone except the pharmaceutical companies. It doesn’t give accurate control like injecting insulin or delivering it via an insulin pump. Also, the delivery system isn’t exactly compact and light. The pharmaceutical companies need to come up with something better than insulin. If they really care about the health of people they will work towards a treatment better than insulin or cure.

I understand there are clinical trials for the inhaled insulin and I would like to join. Does anyone have any information about the clinical studies?
I think the choice of using an inhaled insulin rather than injectable is a great thing. I hate the fact that I am "forced" into having to inject and poke myself for blood tests. Right now, the only thing I think negative is the size of the inhaler (I saw a demo of the product on tv).
