Fear Nothing
Rocker Bret Michaels has announced that he'll be taking part in a diabetes awareness TV campaign in 2006. As part of that effort, he'll be selling a "Fear Nothing" t-shirt featuring his likeness and the number of injections he's taken since his diagnosis of type 1 diabetes at age 6. A portion of proceeds go to send kids to diabetes camp. The former Poison frontman can be seen in an upcoming episode of dLifeTV talking about his diagnosis and life on the road with diabetes.

IRS Loses Diabetes Job Discrimination Suit
Diabetes advocacy attorney (and former dLifeTV guest) John Griffin is back in the news again. Griffin represented Gary Branham in a lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS had denied Branham a promotion due to his type 1 diabetes, and a federal court has now ruled in his favor, awarding him $78,000 in back pay.

Famous dLives
What do Aida Turturro of The Sopranos, Dorian Gregory of Soul Train, and the infamous Martha Stewart have in common? They're all in Chelsea Studios in New York City today, where dLifeTV is taping new episodes. Well, only Aida and Dorian are on dLifeTV to discuss their diabetes lives -- Martha shares the studio facilities (her Living show is taped next door) and is probably making the perfect Christmas centerpiece across the hall right this moment.
Dorian and Aida will take part in a dLifeTV roundtable discussion on diabetes in TV and the movies later this afternoon. And there was more diabetes drama earlier this morning, when Nicole Johnson Baker related that today is her thirteenth "diabetes anniversary."
