A Little Secret for Pre-Diabetics
Let me start off by telling you a little-known secret. It is one of the most important pieces of information that you NEED TO KNOW NOW. It goes like this…
Most people believe that they are handed a reprieve when they are told by their doctors that they have something called "pre-diabetes" rather than diabetes. Well, guess what? You are fooling yourself. This is not a true reprieve at all. In fact, it can be a costly mistake not to do something to change your situation immediately. If you have been diagnosed as pre-diabetic, I have two important words to say: "DON'T WAIT."
The longer you wait to do something to correct pre-diabetes, the better the chance that complications associated with Type 2 diabetes will begin to occur inside your body before you've been diagnosed with actual diabetes. Let me repeat: I was shocked to discover that damages, particularly to the heart, can begin to occur even before your body progresses into a Type 2 diabetic condition.
If you are pre-diabetic, get to a gym, to your local health store, and to a yoga class because you probably need to lose weight, eat healthier foods, and relax. Just keep in mind that you have the power to change your situation. YOU CAN PREVENT MAJOR COMPLICATIONS NOW just by taking a few, simple, life-changing actions. You have a much better chance of eliminating pre-diabetes and never getting Type 2 diabetes if you act immediately to change your initial pre-diabetic diagnosis.
It's much harder, and closer to impossible, to get rid of pre-diabetes if you wait until you are diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes— like I did. You see, I learned all this information the hard way.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, one of the benefits that made it cost-effective for me to go with the real healthcare (HSA) plan rather than the phony (HRA) plan is that my company is now covering "preventative" medicines at $0 copay. The formulary for these, as stated by CVS/Caremark (my pharmacy benefits provider), covers all test strips, lancets, and control solutions. I dutifully get my doctor to write up prescriptions for all of my testing needs, submit...
